Blue (wax)

Characteristics

The use of heat treatment to evaporate oil applied for rust prevention results in adhesion of a high wax content instead of oil, increasing rust prevention and lubrication, improving compatibility with machinery, and improving workability. Furthermore, since the wax is dried, it is possible to prevent the oil from adhering to the steel strap, and to prevent contamination of the packing material.

Rust prevention

Our proprietary heat treatment creates an oxide film on the surface of the steel strap for rust resistance. According to our experiments, it is possible to improve rust prevention by a factor of approximately 1.5. Improvements in rust prevention by a factor of 2 ? 4 are possible using a combination of wax and our proprietary method. * The duration of the rust preventive effect varies with the experimental environment.

Reduction in shape defects

Increases the elongation rate and reduces shape defects (e.g. warpage, transverse bending, swelling) of the steel strap itself, greatly improving ease of use and improving working efficiency.

Plating (wax)

Characteristics

Applying zinc plating to the bare white hard steel strap provides strong resistance to corrosion and rust. It is used on products which must be protected from rusting such as non-ferrous metals, temporary materials such as scaffolding, and joins in other construction materials, and as such is widely used in outdoor work. Cost is reduced in comparison to stainless steel materials, and its gloss ensures an attractive product appearance, with an associated increase in opportunities for orders. As the rate of elongation is similar to the blue product, and higher than general steel, it is possible to use it with confidence due to the reduced risk of fracture during binding.

White (wax)

Characteristics

Cold rolled steel plate is slit along its width to produce steel strap. Unlike bluing and plating, even if over-roll material (i.e. second grade product) is used, it is referred to as steel strap, and therefore has no tensile strength guarantee. Normally used for transport within the company.

Paint

Characteristics

Application of a colored coating to the steel strap enhances resistance to rusting due to rain and moisture. The coating is available in any desired color, and it can therefore be used to differentiate between products in order to prevent mistakes in shipping.
